Μάλιστα, φρόντισε να διευκρινίσει ότι ο πρόεδρος, η ηγεσία και τα μέλη της κυβέρνησης της χώρας βρίσκονται όλοι στις θέσεις τους και εργάζονται. Πρόσθεσε, μάλιστα, πως γνωρίζει πως αυτό είναι κάτι «λυπηρό» για τη Ρωσία.
Στη συνέχεια, ο Ρεζνίκοφ, «δείχνοντας ενδιαφέρον» για τους Ρώσους στρατιώτες, τους προέτρεψε να μπουν σε ένα ρωσικό πλοίο και να φύγουν πριν να είναι πολύ αργά. Και κατέληξε λέγοντας η Ουκρανία είναι πρόθυμη να δεχτεί με κατανόηση μια ενδεχόμενη συνθηκολόγηση/παράδοση της Ρωσίας.
