Υπόθεση Φουρθιώτη: Πυροβόλησαν τους άνδρες της ΔΙ.ΑΣ και έκρυψαν στο Περιστερι την μοτοσυκλετα

Σε συνεργείο επί της οδού Παπαρηγοπούλου στο Περιστέρι είχαν κρύψει οι δυο φερόμενοι ως συνεργοί του Μένιου Φουρθιώτη την μοτοσυκλέτα που επέβαιναν τη νύχτα της 16ης Απριλίου, όταν πυροβόλησαν κατά αστυνομικών της ΔΙ.ΑΣ με Καλάσνικοφ στη Νέα Ερυθραία.
Η συγκεκριμένη ενέργεια έθεσε σε άμεσο κίνδυνο την ζωή των αστυνομικών και έπαιξε σημαντικό ρόλο στην εξιχνίαση της υπόθεσης αλλά και στην σύλληψη του παρουσιαστή και των δυο συνεργών του. Στο σημείο της επίθεσης οι αστυνομικοί εντόπισαν έναν σάκο πάνω στον οποίο βρέθηκε dna του 48χρονου άνδρα συνεργού του παρουσιαστή.
Ο άνδρας πάντως κατέθεσε πως, «Είχα αφήσει ένα σάκο ορειβασίας στο κανάλι και γι’ αυτό το λόγο βρέθηκε το DNA μου στο σάκο ενώ εγώ δεν βρισκόμουν εκεί».
Σημαντικά στοιχεία στην έρευνα του τμήματος εκβιαστών της ασφάλειας Αττικής, έδωσε και το βίντεο από την ένοπλη επίθεση κατά του σπιτιού του Μένιου Φουρθιώτη στην οδό Ρόδων στην Εκάλη. Σε αυτό αποτυπώνεται ξεκάθαρα ο σωματότυπος του ενός δράστη που πυροβόλησε 15 φορές, με το ίδιο καλάσνικοφ, που είχαν πυροβολήσει και τους αστυνομικούς. Μάλιστα την βραδιά της επίθεσης μέσα στο σπίτι ήταν ο Μένιος Φουρθιώτης μαζί με δυο γυναίκες.
Όπως και ο 42χρονος, έτσι και ο δεύτερος συγκατηγορούμενος, αρνείται κάθε εμπλοκή του. Όπως υποστήριξε, « Μου είπε ότι δεν τον καλύπτει η αστυνομία γιατί του κόψανε τα άτομα και έχει πρόβλημα με τρομοκράτες. Μια φορά είχε ζητήσει από εμένα αλλά και από τον Σ. να του βρούμε άτομα για συνοδεία και security. Απ’ ό,τι κατάλαβα θα έδινε περισσότερα λεφτά σ’ αυτά τα άτομα».
Ο Μένιος Φουρθιώτης και οι συγκατηγορούμενοί του θα βρεθούν ενώπιων του ανακριτή το πρωί του Μεγάλου Σαββάτου.
